A postcard of Lowell School, once located at 1210 N. Yakima Ave. Built in 1892, demolished in 1949 after earthquake damage and rebuilt in 1950. Named for James Russell Lowell.

Lowell School housed Tacoma's first domestic arts and manual training classes.
