Tacoma's Fateful Fourth

Saturday, October 30 - 1:30pm

Book reading and signing event at the Tacoma Historical Society Museum, 406 Tacoma Avenue South.

On July 4, 1900, Tacoma experienced one of the worst trolley disasters in United States history. A streetcar overfilled with revelers plunged down an embankment, killing 44 people.

Hear the story from Russell Holter, who spent 17 years meticulously researching the accident. He will read from and sign copies of his book at the Tacoma Historical Society Museum, where you can also enjoy our current exhibits.
