Join us for our February Monthly Program, Ruby Blackwell: A Girl in Washington Territory presented by Tacoma Historical Society curator Elizabeth Korsmo. Elizabeth will discuss the life and times of Ruby Chapin Blackwell, who arrived in Tacoma by railroad as a young girl and lived here for over 90 years. A teacher, historian, and philanthropist, Ruby documented her childhood in the boomtown Tacoma of the 1870s and 1880s, offering a rare child's view of key events that shaped our city. Her contributions are still to be seen today.
Doors open at 5:30pm, program begins at 6:00pm.
Free Admission.
