Golden Gala - Thank you!
The board and staff of Tacoma Historical Society would like to thank all of you who attended our Gala at the Rust Mansion on Saturday, April 5. It was a memorable evening. We so appreciated the efforts you made to wear elegant attire that fit our theme of the Woman in Gold. Thank you for your support and participation.
Thank you to the owners of the Rust Mansion whose generosity and trust made it possible for us to host the event. Thank you to Peter Altman and Professor Melissa Weinman for their presentations about the Woman in Gold, the Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer. The question and answer period was enlightening.
We were fortunate to have volunteers from Ft. Nisqually who led the way in food prep and staffing the bar. The food presentation was amazing. We are appreciative. We want to acknowledge the support provided by Brown Family Vineyards, Safeway and Trader Joe's. Thank you.
We are always indebted to our staff and volunteers who readily avail themselves to help with our events with such enthusiasm. The board wants to thank our managing director Jessica Smith for her leadership and vision for this event. Also, a special thanks to former Mayor Baarsma for working with owners of the Rust Mansion.
